The Dolor Mortis Curse

The Dolor Mortis Curse is a story derivated from Stephonika Kaye's novelization, starting during chapter 37 of her novel, 'The Curse'. I started it about three years ago and am currently writing it on FanFiction next to the novel. It is the very first fiction in English I ever wrote for two purposes: the first one was to practise English writing, trying out all kinds of writing styles, descriptive and action practice as well as plot twists, mature scenes and the distinctive displaying of feelings, hurt/comfort and pain. 

The second reason was for myself, having gone through quite some hardships especially at the time I was writing this story, which functioned very much like a valve for me to release pressure. I'll not go too deeply into this topic, as most of it is private, so let's just say that the darkness of this story had a personal background as well as a quite distinctive purpose for me. 

I'm still writing on it even if I don't need it any more. And I'm doing with it quite the same as I'm doing with the novel right now, which consists in making sketches, research as well as monthly releases of new chapters on FanFiction. 

The cover entitled ''Agonizing Man'' was drawn by myself as an experiment to try out medieval drawing and illustrate the ink drawing in the book that contains the only known record of the Dolor Mortis Curse (chapter 49). It didn't really turn out to be what I had had in mind, but just seeing this poor guy kneeling on the ground, staring in front of himself in an almost pleading way, satisfied me. I did a cover out of it for the story on FanFiction. 

From a french artist, name unknown

Before, I had this picture as cover, which is from a French artist whose name I haven't found anywhere on the net. It illustrates almost perfectly the moments before the first cure, where Link lies in bed, exhausted by his blood loss, with Midna keeping him company and just worrying deeply about him.


One very important thing: for all those who are under the age of 16, this story is nothing for you. It is rated M on FanFiction, which means 'Mature' and is thus only meant to be read by older teenagers and adults. If you choose to read, and are maybe shocked, I won't be responsible for anything since it was you who chose it, and I warned you.

My very first Photoshop drawing, here of Midna without her Fursed Shadow (I guess this is somewhere after she gave her part to Eldin). I have not a clue what she's pointing at, so don't ask me. But she looks kinda sad, no? Well, I'd be sad as well if I learned that the man I love is infested with a dangerous, powerful curse of pure Darkness.
